Hello Dan. So I have been delving into your archive to mine material for an assignment for a publishing course I am taking at TMU. We are asked to write a pitch for a non-fiction book, by a real Canadian figure. I will totally share it with you when I am done, this (imaginary) memoir is great! It is modelled on the Beastie Boys Book, includes a query letter to a publisher, a (fake) endorsement from Douglas Coupland (he loves your book!), an annotated table of contents, and more...

I'm reading this essay a second time (for the chapter on creating Nice, Nice, Very Nice obviously) and just noticed your use of anaphora. From one former English major to another, well done :) You should write a book.

It's been a minute, but I submitted it mid-December. Turns out my prof is a fan, she loved it and I got a great mark. I'd love to send it to you as a PDF or a link to the Google doc, you should get a kick out of it. What's the best way to send it?

...looks like there is a DM type chat thing in Substack so I will try that. Cheers!

I love hearing your mindset while recording songs that still frequent my everyday playlist! Thank you for sharing :)

I recently saw you in Sudbury and absolutely LOVED your show but the best part is that you allowed us to step into your shoes with each song. I am someone that makes a hobby of finding meaning in lyrics and I have always found enjoyment in your writing because each song truly has a deep meaning and you share it in the most creative way!

Can't wait until I get the chance to see you play again :)
