It Might Be Raining

Last fall, I did a short solo tour of tiny towns around southern Ontario. It was a great opportunity to road-test new songs from Natural Light. My pal Jonah Atkins documented the run and has put together something really beautiful. Abstracted collage / tribute to a captured moment? I’m not sure what to call it, but watching it gave me feelings.
The piece features a live solo performance of It Might Be Raining, which is the first song on Natural Light and was the inciting incident that kicked off this miracle lottery ticket of an experience nearly a year ago. It Might Be Raining is for my sons. I want them to know that they cannot earn nor diffuse my love. They just have it.
Tomorrow is the big day. I’ll be scheduling a blast in the middle of the night Vancouver time to remind Europe about the tour on-sale, and then of course I’ll be sending out one more big release day reminder to put this work in your ears. Then, I’ll probably chill out just a little bit.
